Born in Virginia.  Died before 1840 in Maury County, Tennessee.  Moved to Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky; then to Maury County, Tennessee.

Born 26 November 1791/93 in Virginia; daughter of Edmond and Frances (Towlz?) Willis of Virginia and Kentucky.  Died 6 April 1872 at Myra, Cooke County, Texas (also seen: d. Commerce, Hunt Co., TX); interred Porter Cemetery, near Randolph, Fannin County, Texas (gravestone down and broken).  Married George W. Squires about 1810 in or near Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky.

Permelia/Parmelia Ann Squires: Born 18 May 1813/18 in Columbia Township, Adair County, Kentucky.  Died 2 February 1887 in Texas; interred Porter's Cemetery.  Married, as his 1st wife, John Ransom Aldridge (b. 13 Nov 1803/05 in NC, d. 3 Nov 1874 in TX; interred with Permelia), son of Aaron Aldridge, and had children, including:

 

(1. Uriah S. Aldridge: Born about 1852 in Arkansas.  Married M. A. (?) from Mississippi.

 

John R. Aldridge married (2nd), as her 3rd husband, Lucinda Jane Wilkinson (b. 1841, d. 1928) on 24 September 1890 in Hunt County, Texas.  Lucinda had married (perhaps 1st) William Lumpkin Tuck (b. 24 Mar 1832 in GA, d. May 1862 in TN) and (perhaps 2nd) Samuel C. Cowan (b. 14 Feb 1825 in TN, d. 26 Jun 1878 in Hunt Co., TX).

 

b. Willam C. Squires: Born 22 February 1816 in Columbia Township, Adair County, Kentucky.  Died 4 July 1875 in Robinson County, Texas.  Married Mary Ann Davis (b. 1822 in Marshall Co., TN, d. 16 May 1873 in Robinson Co., TX), daughter o J. W. Davis of Marshall County, Tennessee, on 2 April 1844 in Marshall County, Tennessee, with Justice of the Peace, James V. Ewing officiating, and had 10 children, including:

 

(1. George W. Squires: Born 22 December 1844 at Lewisburg, Marshall County, Tennessee.  Married Levina Yearout at Orangeville, Fannin County, Texas.

Reece (b. 1825 in KY), daughter of Gordon and Martha (?) Reece.  In 1850 resided with Gordon and Martha (?) Reese of Virginia, and had at least the following son:

e. Margaret Jane Squires: Born 25 July 1825 in Marshall County, Tennessee (also seen: b. KY).  Died 3 March 1895 in Fannin County, Texas.  Married (1st) James Patton on 30 December 1841 in Marshall County, Tennessee, with Justice of the Peace A. F. Lillard officiating, and had the following children:

 

(1. John Patton.

 

(2. Pricilla Patton.

 

Margaret (Squires) Patton married (2nd) William Boyd Burns (b. 21 Feb 1821 in Marshall Co. TN, d. 30 Jan 1907 in Fannin Co., TX; interred Burns Cem.), son of John W. and Mary Elizabeth (Cunningham) Burns, on 28 November 1844 in Marshall County, Tennessee, with Justice of the Peace Joseph Brittain officiating, and had at least the following daughter:

 

(1. Mary Anne Burns: Born 3 February 1852 in Trenton Township, Fannin County, Texas.  Died 11 January 1928 in Myra Township, Cooke County, Texas.  Married her 1st cousin, John William Andress (b. 17 Aug 1848 in Marshall Co., TN, d. 31 Dec 1929) and had children (see Andress Annex for details). 

 

Of interest, William and Margaret (Squires)(Patton) Burns donated the land for what is referred to as Burns Cemetery (abt 2 miles east of Trenton and southwest of Bonham on Route 2 in Fannin Co., TX).

 

f. Sarah A. Squires: Born 17 September 1831 in Marshall County, Texas.  Died 30 March 1890; interred Burns Cemetery.  Married John Ransom Aldridge, II, son of William and Nancy (Lane) Aldridge, and had children, including:

 

(1. Uriah S. Aldridge: Born about 1852 in Arkansas.  Married M. A. (?) from Mississippi.
