1. Biographical notes:
Born 14 February 1742. Died
1814. Resided in Dudley Township and
Charlton Township (Southbridge area), Worcester County, Massachusetts. Veteran of the American Revolutionary War;
participated in the Lexington Alarm on 19 April 1775, as well as the march to
Providence, Rhode Island. Was one of the
largest land owners in Charlton Township.

with married to John Vinton.

6 Major John Vinton, Jr.
1. Biographical notes:
Born 1760. Died . Veteran of the American Revolutionary War;
served from 1777 to 1780. Moved to
Cornish, New Hampshire in 1787. Employed
there as a blacksmith and farmer. Also
served as a Major in the New Hampshire Militia and as a deputy sheriff. Was a large man - perhaps more than 350
pounds.
