1. Biographical notes:

 

Born 7 February/2 July 1803 in Lee Township, Oneida County, New York.  Died 2 November 1888 in Theresa Township, Jefferson County, New York; interred Evans Mills Cemetery.  As a boy moved with his parents to Rodman Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Subsequently moved to Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County.  Did not accompany his parents to Ohio.  Employed as a farmer on Route 22, Philadelphia Township.

 

1850 US Census: Isaac Warriner, age 47 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County, New York.  No record of real estate or personal property owned.  The household also included William Crandall, age 21 (b. English-speaking Canada) and employed as a laborer; wife, Laura Warriner, age 45 (b. NYS); daughter, Maria E. Warriner, age 21 (b. NYS); daughter, Euphema Warriner, age 17 (b. NYS); daughter, Laura Ann Warriner, age 14 (b. NYS); and daughter, Helen Warriner, age 12 (b. NYS).

 

1860 US Census: Isaac Warriner, age 58 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Philadelphia Township (Philadelphia Post Office), Jefferson County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $4,075, and his personal property was valued at $1,600.  The household also included his wife, Laury Warriner, age 54 (b. NYS); daughter, Hellen Warriner, age 21 (b. NYS); Hyram Knapp, age (b. NYS) and employed as a farm laborer; and Joseph Jing, age (b. German) and employed as a cheese maker.

 

1865 NYS Census: Isaac Warriner, age 62 (b. Jefferson Co., NY) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County, New York.  His frame residence was valued at $1,200, and he had been married once.  The household also included his wife, Laura Warriner, age 60 (b. Jefferson Co., NY), she had been married once and had had 6 children; daughter, Helen M. Warriner, age 27 (b. Jefferson Co., NY) and employed as a school teacher; and boarder, Morris Grinigen, age 21 (b. Switzerland) and employed as a cheese maker.

 

1870 US Census: Isaac Wariner, age 67 (b. NYS) and a retired farmer, was heading a household in Philadelphia Township (Philadelphia Post Office), Jefferson County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $1,800, and his personal property was valued at $3,500.  The household also included his wife, Sally Wariner, age 56 (b. NYS) and employed keeping house, whose personal property was valued at $1,500; daughter, Helen M. Wariner, age 26 (b. NYS) and employed as a teacher, whose personal property was valued at $1,500; and Lydia Cory, age 70 (b. NYS) and past labor.

 

Of interest, there was a Laura Waltz, age 65 (b. NYS) and employed as a tailoress, residing in the household headed by Alanson W. Potter, age 43 (b. NYS), and employed as a joiner and cabinet maker, on the same census page as Isaac.  Laura's real estate was valued at $1,200.

 

1880 US Census: Isaac Warrener, age 76 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and a retired farmer, was heading a household in Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Sally Warrener, age 55 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS).

Born February 1805 in Rutland Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Died 17 October 1867 at Evans Mills, LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Married Isaac Warriner on 24 January 1827 (also seen: m. 1825).

(1. Marcia Emeline Warriner: Born 22 January 1829 in Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Died there 19 November 1910. Married James Clark of Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County, New York and worked the family farm on Route 22 in Philadelphia Township and had children.

 

(2. Mary Euphema Warriner: Born 18 October 1832 in Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Died 23 June 1887 at Deer River, Jefferson County, New York.  Married Milton Wiggins (b. 22 Aug 1832 in Philadelphia Twp, Jefferson Co., NY, d. 1 Apr 1890 at Deer River, Jefferson Co., NY) on 18 October 1854 and had children.

 

(3. Laura Ann Warriner: Born 31 July 1836 in Philadelphia Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Died there 8 January 1919.  Married, as his 2nd wife, Benjamin Allen (b. 12 Aug 1833 in Theresa Twp, Jefferson Co., NY, d. 9 Jun 1903 in Philadelphia Twp, Jefferson Co., NY) of Philadelphia Township on 1 January 1865 and had children.

Born 21 October 1814.  Died 14 May 1890 at Evans Mills, Jefferson County, New York.  Sally Klock married Isaac Warriner in 1868.

Born April 1838 in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Died 19/20 November 1922 at Evans Mills, LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York; interred New Evans Mills Cemetery.  Married (1st) Melvin W. Briant, paragraph 4.h. of generation 3 of the Briant Annex by 1875.  Married (2nd) Stephen W. Sisson about 1903.
