1850 US Census: John Watt, age 49 (b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Township 6 South of Range 6 West of Randolph County, Illinois.  His real estate was valued at $300.  The household also included his wife, Catharine Watt, age 46 (b. MO); John C. Watt, age 20 (b. MO) and employed as a farmer; and Amanda Hernn, age 14 (b. KY).

 

1860 US Census: John Watt, age 58 (b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Township 6 South of Range 5 W (Stuls (sp) Mill post office) of Randolph County, Illinois.  His real estate was valued at $1,400 and his personal property was valued at $350.  The household also included his [presumed] son, John Watt, age 30 (b. MO) and employed as a farmer; John, Jr.'s [presumed] wife, Margt E. Watt, age 30 (b. OH); son, James L. Watt, age 4 (b. IL); son, S. T. Watt, age 3 (b. IL); and son, Joseph Watt, age 8 months (b. 1870 US Census: John C. Watt, age 40 (b. MO) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in the City of Chestertown (Chester post office), Randolph County, Illinois.  His real estate was valued at $6,000 and his personal property was valued at $1,000.  The household also included his wife, Margaret Watt, age 40 (b. OH); son, James Watt, age 14 (b. IL); son, Samuel Watt, age 12 (b. IL); daughter, Elizabeth Watt, age 7 (b. IL); son, Emmry Watt, age 5 (b. IL); son, William Watt, age 3 (b. MO) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Valle Township, Jefferson County, Missouri.  The household also included his wife of 12 years, Susan Watt, age 33 (b. Feb 1867 in MO; parents b. MO), who had had 5 children, all still alive; son, Everett Watt, age 11 (b. Jun 1889 in MO); son, William Watt, age 9 (b. Feb 1891 in MO); daughter, Esther Watt, age 8 (b. Oct 1892 in MO); daughter, Bertha Watt, age 4 (b. May 1896 in MO); and son, Jessie Watt, age 2 (b. Sep 1898 in MO).

Watt, age 52 (b. MO; parents b. MO); and son, Orville M. Watt, age 12 (b. CA; father b. IL; mother b. MO).

 

1930 US Census: Emery Watt, age 65 (b. IL; parents b. IL) and employed as a laborer in the tree pruning industry, was heading a household at 1743 Second Avenue in the City of Ontario, Ontario Township, San Bernardino County, California.  He was married 1st at age 23.  The household also included his wife, Sussan M. Watt, age 63 (b. MO; parents b. MO), who was married 1st at age 21.

 

1940 US Census: Emery Watt, age 75 (b. IL), with no employment recorded, was heading a household at 329 Second Avenue in the City of Upland, Upland Township, San Bernardino County, California.  His residence was valued at $1,200 and he had completed 5th grade.  The household also included his wife, Susan Watt, age 73 (b. MO), who had completed 5th grade.  The resided in the same house in April 1935.

Born 28 September 1898 in De Soto Township, Jefferson County, Missouri.  Died 17 November 1992 at Litchfield Park, Maricopa County, Arizona.  Resided at Peoria, Arizona.  In 1990 resided at Flagstaff, Arizona.  Employed as a farmer; operated a large cotton ranch.

 

1920 US Census: Jessie Watt, age 21 (b. MO; parents b. MO) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household on 9th Street in Ontario Township, San Bernardino County, California.  The household also included his wife, Buela Watt, age 19 (b. WA).  They resided in the same house with the household headed by John Schell [Buela's father], age 51 (b. IL; parents b. Germany) and employed as a farmer.  That household also included John's wife, Flora Schell, age 53 (b. MI; father b. England; mother b. NYS); and John's son, Homer Schell, age 20 (b. WA; father b. MI; mother b. IL), single, and employed as a farm laborer.

 

1930 US Census: Jesse C. Watt, age 31 (b. MO; father b. IL; mother b. MO) and employed as a nurseryman in a nursery, was heading a household at 514 East D. Street in the City of Ontario, Ontario Township, San Bernardino County, California.  His residence was valued at $4,500, and he was married 1st at age 21.  The household also included his wife, Mary Watt, age 29 (b. WA; father b. IL; mother b. MI), who married 1st at age 18; son, James Watt, age 9 (b. CA; father b. MO; mother b. WA); daughter, Joanne Watt, age 5 (b. CA; father b. MO; mother b. Porter, daughter of Chester A. and Sylvia L. (Nelson) Porter, on 24 December 1943 in Orange County, California.  Married (2nd) Mary Elizabeth Biles, descendant # 4.1 of generation 11 of the Descendants of John Addison Biles.
